Adrian Gonzalez, Cody Ross Hitting Stride at Right Time As Red Sox Open Big Series With Toronto

They're all pretty big series at this point for the Red Sox, but with this weekend's series with the Blue Jays has a lot of implications for a July series.

That's why it's a good thing that Boston has two of its most important bats heating up to open the three-game set with a Toronto team that is holding on for dear life.

Adrian Gonzalez, who is hitting cleanup on Friday night, is on fire right now. The first baseman hit two home runs and drove in nine runs in the club's four-game set with the White Sox, and he's hitting .550 (11-for-20) in his last five games.

Meanwhile, Cody Ross has found his power stroke as well, hitting three home runs — all three-run blasts — in the last two games. He has eight hits and 10 RBIs in his last five games.
