What makes a good picnic great? Music, of course.

And, as if Fenway Park’s seventh annual Picnic in the Park couldn’t get any better, American Idol season eight winner Kris Allen is slated to perform live, while fans relax on the world’s most famous baseball field alongside every Red Sox player.

“It’s a thrill be invited to sing at 100 year old iconic Fenway Park,” Allen said. “And being able to share a picnic on the field with the players and fans while supporting programs serving at risk kids makes it a grand slam for me!”

For fans of the hit show Glee, you now have a chance to not only meet your favorite cast members, but you or a loved one can win a walk-on role in the hit TV show. Also included in the prize is a meet and greet with the co-creator/executive producer Brad Falchuk and autographs from the cast.

“Picnic in the Park is a wonderful opportunity for family and friends to get together and enjoy a unique experience at Fenway Park, all while contributing to the important youth programs supported by the Red Sox Foundation for at-risk kids in our community,” said Red Sox chairman Tom Werner. “We look forward to hosting fans of all ages for this special event, now in its seventh year.”
