It's exciting when college football players are drafted into the NFL, but nothing is ever official until that player signs on the dotted line.

That's what the first overall pick in April's draft, Andrew Luck, did on Thursday.

A league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Luck signed a four-year contract with the Colts. The deal is expected to be worth $22 million with a $14.5 signing bonus, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Indianapolis also holds a fifth-year option on Luck.

Luck is expected to be the team's starting quarterback, replacing Peyton Manning, who is now the man under center for the Denver Broncos.
