Best Living Red Sox Alums Put Head-to-Head by WEEI Personality, Sox Spanish BroadcasterEvery year, members of the media who cover the Yankees pick an all-time squad, the only stipulation being that all players must still be living. Why shouldn't the Red Sox get into the act?

The Boston version does have a little twist — two teams were drafted by Red Sox Spanish announcer Uri Berenguer and WEEI's Mike Mutnansky in a pseudo competition to see who could put together the better roster. The results became very interesting.

Who would you rather have at shortstop? The Red Sox icon Nomar Garciaparra, or the man who replaced him and won a World Series, Orlando Cabrera. How about the captain, Jason Varitek, or Pudge, Carlton Fisk? There are some interesting picks all over the diamond.
