Carl Crawford has received plenty of criticism since arriving in Boston due to his lackluster play and injury woes. But no struggles warrant the type of scrutiny he received on Thursday night in Manchester.
Crawford was heckled while playing for Double-A Portland as part of his rehab stint, and one fan apparently went as far as to use a racial slur.
Dale Arnold and Larry Johnson discussed the incident on Dennis and Callahan on Friday, and they agree that while fans are entitled to their opinions and have every right to boo a player or criticize him for his on-field performance, this particular heckler crossed the line.
