Celtics Must Tread Carefully With Advertisements on Jerseys (Photos)Advertisements are coming to all NBA jerseys in 2013, and no one — not even the classic, simple look of the storied Boston Celtics — is likely to be immune to the corporate invasion.

The NBA estimates that it could generate $100 million by placing a 2 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inch patch on the shoulder of every players' jersey. While this might not seem so terrible to the Grizzlies, Bobcats, Mavericks or any other team that has changed its style more often than Katy Perry's fictional boyfriend in "Hot N Cold" changes his mind, it is a big deal in Boston, where a sponsorship patch would muck up the sanctity of the Celtics' uniform.
