The Boston Red Sox have been battling injuries all season. Boston will have to play without their leader for a few games, after David Ortiz was placed on the 15-day DL when he hurt his Achilles tendon on Monday. But they aren't the only Sox struggling to stay healthy.
The visiting Chicago White Sox have dealt with injuries of their own, and now find themselves with a depleted pitching staff. To fill the void, Pedro Hernandez got called up for his major league debut Wednesday night, despite only throwing 12 innings at the Triple-A level.
NESN's Red Sox Gameday Live discussed how the injury bug has attacked the White Sox, and how the Red Sox will react to seeing Hernandez for the first time in the video above.
