The deadly shooting in Aurora, Colo., that left 12 dead and 59 wounded has sent the country into mourning. As expected, the Colorado Rockies have been hit particularly hard, with the site of the tragedy so close to home for the club.

On Friday, the Rockies honored the victims of the shooting by hanging a black jersey in their dugout that read "We remember 7-20." The team also wore eye black with the date marked on it and black wristbands. The team had a moment of silence before their game against the Padres at Petco Park.

Take a look at a few photos from the emotional scene before the game.
