Darnell McDonald’s Fourth of July Was Vastly Improved By Contract From Yankees (Video)

Darnell McDonald got some bad news just before the Fourth of July holiday, as the utility outfield was designated for assignment by the Red Sox.

The now former Red Sox has since been signed by the New York Yankees, and he was even sporting a fresh haircut upon his return to Fenway Park on Friday night.

NESN's Jenny Dell caught up with the former Red Sox outfielder before Friday night's game at Fenway Park to discuss his new team and his new hairdo.

Check it out in the video above.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
