Dustin Pedroia made his return to the Red Sox lineup Thursday night after missing 11 games due to a thumb injury. The second baseman was an unspectacular 1-for-4, but the Red Sox won anyway thanks to a walk-off home run from the hot-hitting Cody Ross.
Now that Pedroia has joined Carl Crawford and Jacoby Ellsbury in the Red Sox lineup, Boston is as healthy as it has been all season, which could spell trouble for the rest of the American League. Already the highest-scoring team in the majors, the Red Sox could really take off now that its trio of All Stars is back in the lineup for the foreseeable future.
