Evan Turner is a rather accomplished basketball player.
Entering his third season with the Philadelphia 76ers, Turner has already been named to the BBVA Rising Stars team and helped the Sixers qualify for the playoffs two consecutive seasons. Before that, he was the 2010 Big Ten Conference Player of the Year at Ohio State and a two-time All-Big Ten selection.
None of that was enough to lessen the feeling of flattery he felt when he learned a child had named his pet fish after him.
Before taking a flight to visit Columbus, Ohio, on Tuesday, Turner tweeted out the "huge compliment" he received in the form of an eponymous aquatic friend. Check out Turner's tweet below.
I just met this kid that named his pet fish after me. That's so dope, that's a huge compliment in my book.
