Jenny Dell Gets the Dirt on Fenway Park’s Grounds Crew (Video)

Fenway Park is a hallowed grounds, and one that needs some quality TLC to keep in tip-top shape for 81 games each season.

There are a number of dedicated professionals that make up the Fenway Grounds Crew, and the leader of them all is Grounds Crew Director, David Mellor. Mellor, who's in his 12th year with the Red Sox, leads a staff of about 20 crewmembers onto the field before and after each game to make sure everything is prepped in time for first pitch.

NESN's Jenny Dell went on the hunt to find out just what it takes to get the field ready for a game at historic Fenway Park.
