It was, perhaps, inevitable that T-shirts based off Ray Allen‘s famous acting role in He Got Game would rear their heads after Allen’s free-agent defection to the Miami Heat.
So, it should come as no surprise that “Judas Shuttlesworth” shirts are now on sale from Barstool Sports, according to USA Today.
Allen, of course, portrayed a character named Jesus Shuttlesworth in Spike Lee‘s 1998 movie alongside Denzel Washington.
The shirts feature the name Judas and the number 20 on the front in a Heat-styled design, and the name Shuttlesworth and a larger number 20 on the back in a Celtics-styled motif.
This is not the first time Boston fans have taken to calling a popular player Judas for leaving the hometown team in favor of a bitter rival. Johnny Damon earned that moniker by virtue of his looking like a certain other Biblical figure during his last two years with the Red Sox.
