Matt Stairs ‘Wasn’t Very Good’ as a Hockey Player, But He Talks About it With Shawn Thornton Anyway (Video)

Matt Stairs is Canadian, but that doesn't mean he's inherently gifted with superb hockey skills.

By his own admission, Stairs mostly enjoyed the checking and fighting despite his opinion that he "wasn't very good at it." So it was probably for the best that Stairs elected to pursue a successful career in baseball instead.

Stairs recently went on a Canadian trip with the Boston Bruins Alumni team, and chatted with fellow Canadian and current Bruin enforcer Shawn Thornton about his experiences in the sport.
