Red Sox ‘Don’t Want to Move’ Jon Lester, But Team Still Has Decisions to Make After Yankees Series (Video)

By any standards, but primarily the lofty ones he's already established throughout his stellar career, Jon Lester is not having a good season.

This, however, has not deterred many teams looking for pitching help — among them Pittsburgh and Atlanta — from calling the Red Sox, inquiring about the lefty and banking that his track record will eventually set him straight.

Boston is apparently not interested in moving their nominal ace, but that doesn't mean other players on the roster aren't off-limits should the Red Sox shift into a selling mode.

Nick Cafardo of The Boston Globe explains why this weekend's series with the Yankees could be a crucial one for the Boston futures of players such as Mike Aviles and Cody Ross.
