Report: Jason Kidd Closing in on Multiyear Deal With MavericksJason Kidd has spent the past four-plus seasons in Dallas, and it doesn't look like he's going anywhere any time soon.

Kidd is closing in on a multiyear contract with the Mavericks, according to ESPN.com.

Kidd, of course, started his career in Dallas in 1994, and then enjoyed stints in Phoenix and New Jersey before being sent back to Dallas in 2008. The 10-time All-Star averaged just 6.2 points and 5.5 assists in 28.7 minutes per game last season — all career lows.

The value of the 39-year-old's contract is unknown, but barring any setbacks, he will reportedly end his career alongside Dirk Nowitzki.
