Raja Bell certainly fits into that category.
Bell has reached a verbal agreement with the Utah Jazz for a buyout of his 2012-13 contract, according to The Salt Lake Tribune. Once the buyout becomes official, Bell will be free to sign with any team, and the Celtics are reportedly among those who interest the veteran guard.
The C's would have some competition if they were to pursue Bell, however. The Heat and Lakers are reportedly also interesting to Bell, who has reportedly drawn interest from several clubs since free agency began on July 1. He would not mention which teams have recently shown interest, though.
Bell would like to join a team that "wants to win," but he's not ready to limit himself just yet.
"My agent and I are just trying to find a good [situation] and we're exploring all our options," Bell reportedly said.
Bell averaged 6.4 points in 23.4 minutes per game while appearing in 34 games with the Jazz last season. His play has deteriorated a bit recently, but the 35-year-old remains a viable option for a team in need of a shooter.
With Allen gone, the Celtics could look to add help along the perimeter. Bell is one intriguing option, and Boston is reportedly still interested in O.J. Mayo as well.
