Tottenham Hotspur, Under Armour Unleash Freestyle Soccer Mayhem on London (Video)To kick off Under Armour’s first foray into the soccer jersey market, the American sports apparel manufacturer and Tottenham Hotspur have come up with a creative marketing campaign.

Spurs fans have a lot on their minds at the moment. New manager Andre Villas-Boas is in, star playmaker Luka Modric wants out, and the entire world has invaded their backyard for the 2012 London Olympic Games.

In the midst of all this, Spurs and new sponsor Under Armour have unleashed a freestyle soccer battle that is raging all across North London. Enlisting the help of global freestyle stars such as Andrew Henderson and Abbas Farid, two teams of four freestylers each journeyed through North London wearing Spurs’ new home and away uniforms. Kicking, punting, heading and even break-dancing their way through the streets and subways, the teams shocked unsuspecting pedestrians with a wide range of tricks.

The teams ended their respective journeys on the doorsteps of Tottenham’s home, White Hart Lane. With the video ending on a cliff-hanger and promising more to come, Spurs fans can expect to see more capoeira-esque soccer action in the weeks ahead.

One word of advice to Spurs fans: wait until September 1 to buy your new Modric jerseys, however cool they may look.
