Vote: What Do You Think Was Ray Allen's Biggest Reason for Leaving Celtics? The Big Three era in Boston has come to a close. Whether they like it or not, Celtics fans will see a different starting lineup come Opening Night, now that Ray Allen has officially signed with the Miami Heat.

The future Hall of Famer had five tremendous seasons in Boston, even helping to win a championship during his first season in green. Allen quickly became a fan favorite with the Celtics faithful, and even set the record for all-time three-pointers made as a member of the team in 2011.

As they say, though, all good things come to an end. But why did this one have to come to an end so soon?

Allen is often regarded as one of the classiest and most professional men ever to play in the NBA. Living up to his reputation, Allen very rarely voiced any displeasure with the team as a member of the Celtics. But now that he is gone, it seems there may have been several reasons for the sharp-shooter's departure.

The shooting guard was not happy with being offered as trade bait several times over the last few seasons, nor did he feel like he was the Celtics' top priority in free agency this offseason. Allen also had a deteriorating relationship with point guard Rajon Rondo. And perhaps the most obvious and sometimes overlooked reason, he left to join the defending NBA Champions. With a Big Three of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh, Allen has a really good chance of winning another title in Miami.

What do you think was the biggest reason behind Allen's departure?
