Carl Crawford Back in the Lineup, Ryan Sweeney in Right Field as Red Sox Try to Take Series From YankeesThe Red Sox were crushed 10-3 by the Yankees on Friday night, but came back and got the best of New York with a 8-6 win on Saturday. Now, with the series tied, the Red Sox will look to win the three-game series, one people probably expected the Yankees to sweep.

Carl Crawford is back in the lineup for Boston after he was given the day off on Saturday as a part of manager Bobby Valentine's four-day plan for his left fielder. Valentine said that Crawford will not play more than four games without a day off so as to not put too much stress on his strained elbow ligament.

Pedro Ciriaco and Cody Ross appear to be splitting the designated hitter role while David Ortiz continues to recover from an Achilles injury. Ryan Sweeney will play right field and Ross will fill the hole left by Ortiz.

Felix Doubront (10-5, 4.54)  gets the ball for the Red Sox and Hiroki Kuroda (10-7, 3.34) takes the hill for the Yankees. In Kuroda's lone start this season against the Red Sox, he gave up seven runs on 10 hits in 5 2/3 innings.
