Drew Brees will still be wearing black and gold when the Saints take the field this season — although that was in doubt up until signing a new $100 million contract at the end of July. But on Wednesday, New Orleans' franchise quarterback was donning the colors of another team.

Brees and his Saints teammates, who are preparing for Thursday night's preseason game with the Patriots, took the day off in Boston to enjoy some of the sights of the city, and more importantly to catch a Red Sox game.

The 33-year-old QB seemed excited to be catching a game at Fenway Park and could even be seen sporting red, white and blue in support of the Sox. It also turns out that Brees is a big fan of good ole No. 9 Ted Williams, as evidence by his Twitter caption on the photo below.
