The celebration following Felix Hernandez's perfect game on Wednesday was hardly limited to the city of Seattle.
The ace's feat was also a cause for celebration in Jackson, Tenn., where the Mariners' Double-A affiliate is located. The Generals, who play in the Southern League, cheered on Hernandez's perfect game bid, then erupted after the dominant right-hander delivered the game's final strike. They jumped around in the outfield, screaming wildly as if they were on the Safeco Field infield grass themselves.
Or perhaps they were celebrating like they were Hernandez's brother. Well, one General actually is Hernandez's flesh and blood. Felix' brother, Moises, is a reliever for the minor league club, making the moment that much more special.
Check out the awesome celebration below, which highlights just how sweet a perfect game can still be.
