James Loney hasn’t even been in a Red Sox uniform for a week, and already his future with the club is being put into perspective.
The former Dodgers first baseman was at one time a high-level prospect. Since coming to the big leagues, though, he’s turned into a decent offensive player with the gold glove skills at first base.
