Joe Maddon Promises to Get Tattoo If Rays Play in World SeriesJoe Maddon‘s never been afraid to use strange motivational tactics with his team.

Whether it’s dyeing his hair black or styling it up in a mohawk or shaving it all off, the Rays manager has been known to pull off a wacky move or two.

So it should come as no surprise that his latest promise if the Rays make it to the World Series is to get tatted up.

To be fair, at least a player suggested this stunt — new Tampa Bay infielder Ryan Roberts forced it onto his skipper to some extent.

The Rays are currently a couple games back in the wild card race, but there’s still plenty of time left for Maddon to make good on this one. As long as he doesn’t get a tattoo of the ZimBear
