Red Sox Nation lost a pillar of its community this past week, when the legendary Johnny Pesky passed away at the age of 92. Now, the team is vowing to honor his memory.
The Red Sox will honor Pesky in a pregame ceremony this Tuesday, Aug. 21, before the team takes on the Angels at Fenway Park. In addition, the team also announced that visiting hours for Pesky would be held this Sunday, Aug. 19 at the Solimine, Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home.
Public visiting hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, and the funeral home can be found at 67 Ocean Street, Route 1A, Lynn, Mass.
