Well, if the Red Sox aren’t trading Adrian Gonzalez, Carl Crawford, Josh Beckett and Nick Punto to the Dodgers, this is going to be a little awkward.
Gonzalez, Beckett and Punto appeared to be in fine spirits Saturday afternoon while flying to Los Angeles after the nine-player trade reportedly wrapped up. Punto tweeted a photo of the trio with the hashtag “#dodgers,” saying, “doing it first class!”
Crawford, who had Tommy John surgery last week, was not in Boston with the team Friday night when the trade talk started.
