Don't blame any physical ailments for Josh Beckett's tough afternoon on Wednesday. Despite making his first start since being skipped in his last turn in the rotation due to back spasms, the big right-hander says he "felt strong" on the hill as he took on the Texas Rangers.
The results were not so strong, however, as Beckett yielded eight runs over five innings of work, and the Red Sox lost their second game in a row and the series to Texas.
After the game, Beckett credited the offense and defense behind him for battling back and making a game of it after being put in a big hole early. He also addressed some of the boos thrown his way by the Fenway crowd after he was removed from the game.
