LeBron James Asks U.S. Swimmer Lauren Perdue to Dinner — at Olympic Dining Hall (Photo)

LeBron James proposed to longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson in a gala birthday bash last New Year’s, so there was some confusion when swimmer Lauren Perdue tweeted that her fellow U.S. Olympian had invited her to dinner.

Perdue, during a random encounter with James, apparently got an invite to dine with him at the Olympic Village dining hall. She told the Charlotte Observer that James was “kind of joking.” Let’s not let the real story get in the way of a juicy rumor, though.
