Madden 13 Release Stirs Up Memories of Top 10 Sports Video Games of All Time (Photos)

Now, you know football season is that close.

The latest edition of Madden was released Tuesday, and as is always the case, the occasion marks the unfortunate end of summer but the exciting beginning of another season on the gridiron.

Madden 13 has already drawn rave reviews, with some considering it the franchise's best version this generation. It's still too early to tell, however, whether gamers will suddenly make the leap and consider it one of the best sports video games of all time.

If Madden 13 eventually garners that type of praise, it'll be joining some elite company, including a rather old version of Madden. After all, any time John Madden tells you, "He flattened him like a pancake!" about 17 times throughout the course of a game, you know you've got yourselves a gem.
