We all have our own personal favorites, but some sneakers have left an impact not just on the folks that wore them, but on a shared culture of sports and fashion.
Iconic shoes have been around for nearly a century. Many have not been worn in an actual organized basketball game in decades, but can still be recognized by one-word names: Chucks, Clydes, Weapons, Uptowns, Jordans, Superstars, Pumps. The list goes on and on, and settling on just a handful for one short list was not easy. Even so, we got a “kick” out of it.
