The Boston Red Sox fired pitching coach Bob McClure on Monday, setting an example after Boston continued its season-long streak of bad starts over the weekend.
While McClure may have been the scapegoat in the situation, Randy Niemann will now inherit the responsibility of fixing a mightily struggling staff.
Niemann believes he can help make some serious changes within the Red Sox pitching staff and he plans to offer a new voice to the pitchers within the organization.
