The Bruins’ Tyler Seguin made an appearance at Wednesday night’s Lowell Spinners game for some speed dating, much to the delight of the young women of Lowell.
But Seguin had a message for another young lady on Wednesday: Needham’s Aly Raisman, who just returned to Massachusetts after winning two golds and a bronze at the London Olympics as a member of the U.S. women’s gymnastics team.
Seguin, 20, said the 18-year-old Raisman’s performance in London was “incredible” and that he was surprised that she responded to him after he tweeted Raisman his congratulations following the team all-around final on July 31.
According to Raisman’s Olympic profile, the Bruins are her favorite sports team, so she will no doubt be rooting for Seguin and Co. if and when the Bruins return to action this fall. Check out the video below to see Seguin’s message for Raisman.
