If you once played for the Boston Red Sox and now play for the Oakland A’s, chances are that you’ve had a big game against the Sox at some point this year.
Just about everyone on the A’s had a big game on Friday night, however, thanks to a nine-run seventh inning in which Oakland sent 12 hitters to the plate and showed no mercy on Boston pitching. Josh Reddick hit a grand slam to put an exclamation mark on all of it, and NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette is struggling with the absurdity of it all.
