Andy Reid, Jeff Fisher Mustache Feats Bring Memories of Greatest Mustaches in Sports History (Photos)The NFL has had its share of famous mustaches over time. Mike Ditka, Joe Namath and Walter Payton all made the mustache part of their iconic look. Now whiskers are again gaining buzz around the league.

Head coaches Andy Reid and Jeff Fisher have both seen their mustaches get attention this season.

Fisher, head coach for the St. Louis Rams, has been nominated for the Robert Goulet Memorial Mustached American of the Year award from the American Mustache Institute. Fisher did not earn the nomination simply because he has a great mustache, but rather because of what he has done for the mustached American community.

The Rams honored Fisher's nomination on Sunday by handing out fake
mustaches to fans before playing the Washington
Redskins.

While Fisher is being honored for his mustache, Reid is honoring others with his. The Philadelphia Eagles head coach has decided not to groom his mustache this season, saying he wants to pay tribute to two of his former high school coaches. Reid told Sports Illustrated's Peter King that he decided to stop trimming his mustache after the death of Andy Cheschelski, his high school offensive line coach.

But these notable mustached men only get it started. Sports has so many more great mustaches to offer.
