Ben Cherington Encourages Red Sox Nation to ‘Hang in There,’ Remains Confident in Team’s Bright Future (Video)

Ben Cherington joined the Red Sox in Seattle on Monday, fueling speculation that he was preparing to fire manager Bobby Valentine.

It turned out that wasn’t the case, and that Cherington and Red Sox principal owner John Henry are just in town on a “fact-finding” mission. Cherington took time out of that mission to talk with NESN’s Naoko Funayama about the team’s recent past and its future.
