The Red Sox have used 55 different players at the major league level already this season, and that number will likely continue to grow as more Triple-A players make the trek up to Boston.
This is not the way manager Bobby Valentine was expecting to spend his first season with the Red Sox, and the team’s performance has certainly suffered from the lack of consistency. All the change in the clubhouse and on the roster has seemed to demoralize Valentine and he’s in a starkly different place than the guy who was all smiles and laughs during spring training.
NESN’s Tom Caron catches up with Peter Abraham of The Boston Globe to talk the constant changing of the roster as well as Valentine’s demeanor on the current road trip.
