Brandon McCarthy was having a good day. So good, in fact, that he dared to try something that many men know could get them into a serious bit of trouble.
McCarthy, who has been in the hospital since last week after being struck in the head by a batted ball, was discharged on Tuesday. Considering the severity of his injury and the fact that he was only recently undergoing brain surgery, the 29-year-old Oakland A’s pitcher was probably feeling pretty lucky.
So, he took the opportunity to ask his wife Amanda McCarthy for… well, just see his tweet below.
WELL IF BEING DISCHARGED FROM THE HOSPITAL ISNT THE BEST TIME TO ASK ABOUT A THREESOME THEN IM FRESH OUT OF IDEAS

Mrs. McCarthy, however, was not so amused by her husband’s request and fired back with the threat of physical violence.
@bmccarthy32 I WILL strike someone with a brain injury

Those crazy kids.
In any case, it’s good to see McCarthy continuing his recovery in good spirits, even if it appears he was denied in his request.
