Everyone wants to end their round of golf on a good note. Charl Schwartzel probably would've settled for not looking foolish Sunday.
Unfortunately for Schwartzel, he was unable to avoid an embarrassing finish to the day, as he missed three putts from just three feet away to close out his third round at the Deutsche Bank Championship in Norton, Mass.
Each miss drew a rather loud response from the crowd, which clearly couldn't believe the pro golfer's struggles. You could tell Schwartzel just wanted the hole to be over and done with after his second putt rimmed out. He went lefty and didn't even line up his next attempt, clearly thinking to himself, "To hell with it."
Despite the crummy finish, Schwartzel can at least take solace in the fact that he plays golf for a living. Things could always be worse.
