As each day passes, it grows more and more unlikely that David Ortiz returns to the Red Sox this
season.
Ortiz has missed a signicant chunk of the season with an
ailling Achilles tendon, and whether he plays again in 2012 is still up in the
air. In 90 games this season, Ortiz is hitting .318 with 23 home runs.
