Dustin Pedroia exited the Red Sox game on Wednesday night quite abruptly after the sixth inning, but it wasn't because of any injury.
Instead, the Red Sox second baseman was leaving to attend to his wife Kelli, who is pregnant with the couple's second child. Pedroia spoke to Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine at the top of the dugout steps before heading down the tunnel to the clubhouse, and he dished out a fist bump to a coach on his way off the diamond.
Hopefully, the Pedroia family will be welcoming a new member to Red Sox Nation very soon.
