Felix Doubront Reacts Angrily to Throw From Outfield Getting Cut Off (Animation)

Baseball is an emotional game, just like any other. Felix Doubront showed that on Thursday night.

With the bases loaded in the top of the fourth inning, Andruw Jones lined out to right fielder Cody Ross. Ross fired home to try and throw out Alex Rodriguez, but instead first baseman James Loney cut off the throw and instead threw to third, where Robinson Cano slid in safely.

Doubront had been backing up a possible throw to the plate and apparently thought that Ross’ throw had a chance to get A-Rod out. However, Loney never gave it a chance, and Doubront reacted angrily as the play was unfolding. Check it out in the animation below.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
