Over the course of a baseball season, the phrase "play of the year" is tossed around so much that it no longer holds much weight. Jason Repko's grab on Sunday earns that title hands down, though.

Kosuke Fukudome put a charge into one with the bases loaded in the first inning, forcing Repko to sprint toward the left-field fence in pursuit. The Red Sox farmhand then left his feet — and the field of play — and made an unbelievable catch.

The broadcasters immediately dubbed Repko's catch the "play of the year," and as mentioned, it's hard to consider it anything less. The PawSox outfielder showed no regard for his body, which has to be worth something, right?
