Jay Cutler Yells At, Kind of Shoves His Left Tackle J’Marcus Webb During Loss to Packers (Video)

Maybe the Bears should think about putting Jay Cutler on the offensive line.

It couldn’t hurt after Thursday night’s performance in which the Chicago quarterback was sacked seven times, as the Packers pressured him all night en route to a 23-10 win.

The pressure eventually got the best of Cutler both in terms of performance — four intereceptions — as well as getting under his skin. This was apparent late in the second quarter after Cutler threw one of the four picks.

On the way to the sideline, Cutler had some words for his left tackle J’Marcus Webb. The QB was no doubt giving Webb the business about his inability to handle pass rushers like Clay Matthews (understandable, though, right?) and he even got a little bit physical. Cutler added a little bit of a shove or at least an emphatic shoulder brush to send the message.

After the game, Cutler spoke about the exchange and his behavior for the rest of the game.

“I care about this,” Cutler told reporters. “This isn’t a hobby for me. I am not doing this for my health. I am trying to win football games and get first downs. When we’re not doing the little things or not doing things the right way consistently, I’m going to say something. If they want a quarterback that doesn’t care, they can get somebody else.”
