The New York Knicks are going to win the NBA championship this season.

Sounds crazy, right? Not according to Knicks guard J.R. Smith.

Smith spoke with NYPost.com over the weekend, and he was asked what fans could expect from the Knicks this season.

"A championship," replied Smith.

He was then pressed about whether or not that was a guarantee.

"I mean, in my eyes, yeah," Smith responded. "Whoever. Lakers, Heat, whoever."

For what it's worth, the Knicks finished 36-30, which was good for three games behind the Celtics in the Atlantic Division. The Miami Heat then eliminated the Knicks from the first round of the playoffs in five games.
