LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Rajon Rondo Appear as Knicks In Video Game Tribute to Victims of 9/11 (Video)

Sports' solemn reaction to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks is well-documented. The NFL and Major League Baseball chose to suspend games while the nation mourned, and although there were no NBA games to suspend, basketball fans still wanted to find a way to honor the victims and fallen heroes.

Although it is only a small gesture relative to the horrific events of that historic day, a video puts the NBA 2K11 forms of LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Derrick Rose, Rajon Rondo and others in New York Knicks jerseys to pay tribute to the victims of the 9/11 attacks in Manhattan, Washington, D.C. and Shanksville, Pa. The message is simple: In remembering that day, everyone stands together on the same team.
