Michael Owen has made a lot of money playing professional soccer, which allowed him to buy an impressive mansion with an even better security system.
On Friday evening, Owen used one of his security cameras to watch a man snooping around his property. He called the police, took to Twitter and gave his 1.5 million followers live updates.
Owen’s £1.6million ($2.6 million) mansion is located in Northorp, Wales, where he lives with his wife and four children.
The Stoke City striker did what any head of household would do when he saw the intruder. But we’re living in the digital age, and Owen used the powers of social media to tell the story in a way that only he could.
See below for Owen’s harrowing tale.
