Bruins fans that have been itching to see Nathan Horton lace 'em up will have to keep waiting.
That's because the B's forward has decided against following in the footsteps of some of his teammates who are choosing to play overseas during the lockout, according to WEEI.com's DJ Bean.
Horton, who has been cleared for contact, will remain in Boston until the league and the NHLPA figure things out.
According to his agent Paul Krepelka, the 27-year-old is "doing well." Krepelka tells Bean that Horton's decision to not play during the lockout "has nothing to do with his health. Just his personal choice."
Horton has been sidelined in each of the last two seasons due to concussions. The winger suffered a concussion on a brutal hit from Canucks defenseman Aaron Rome in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final two seasons ago and again this past January against the Flyers.
In two years with the B's, Horton has 43 goals and 42 assists for 85 points to go with a plus-29 in 126 games played.
