President Barack Obama has never hid from the fact that he’s a big sports fan. From his lobbying for a college football playoff to his annual picking of the NCAA basketball tournament brackets, the First Fan has never been shy to let his inner sports nerd come out.
This weekend the President broke out the University of Florida’s famous “Gator Chomp” while stopping at a local sports bar to have a beer and hang out with voters. It’s not the first time that Obama has shown a willingness to participate in a local college football tradition, either.
As Yahoo!’s Dr. Saturday blog points out, the President previously played the “i” in Ohio while campaigning in Ohio State Buckeye territory. See Obama chomping away in the photo below via the Associated Press.
