Radamel Falcao 'Dreams of Playing for Real Madrid,' Father of Atletico Madrid Star SaysLess than a week ago Radamel Falcao sent Atletico Madrid fans into rapture with a majestic hat trick in the UEFA Super Cup.

Those same fans may be seething at news that their best player dreams of playing for arch-rival Real Madrid.

Falcao’s father, Radamel Garcia King, told a Colombian radio show that "My son's dream is to play for Real Madrid."

He then went on to say that his son's immediate preference is to join the Madrid giants, or, if that's not possible, to make a move to the English Premier League at the end of this year.

Speaking to the show "El Gran Debate de Todelar," Falcao's father specified that his son "always dreamed of playing for Madrid since he was a child, although I know that Manchester City and Chelsea are the teams most interested in signing him."

Although the revelation has to be a bitter pill for Atletico fans to swallow, the chances of Falcao actually joining Madrid anytime soon are slim at best. The club traditionally refuses to sell its best players to its city rival and, as recently as last year ago, it played hardball with Real even after then Atletico forward Sergio Aguero openly stated he wanted the switch.
