Hernandez is scheduled to have an MRI on his right ankle on Monday, according to ESPN.com.

As mentioned, it’s still unclear how long Hernandez will be sidelined, but the tight end did reportedly leave Gillette Stadium with the assistance of crutches and wearing a walking boot.

Hernandez was blocking on a screen pass in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Cardinals when wide receiver Julian Edelman inadvertently fell on his leg. Hernandez had to be helped back to the locker room, but reports surfaced soon after the incident stating that his ankle was not broken.
